Famous across Japan as the woman with the longest hair in the country, a living symbol of beauty, discipline, and devotion.
Through Rin, the film expands into history, power, biology, belief, and rebellion. Linking intimate storytelling with archival material to reveal how hair has shaped culture and identity across time, shot in Tokyo and Kobe.
Suddenly, she developed alopecia
and went completely bald.
